Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to place an order or enter into a binding transaction through the Services.

2. Products and Product Information

We sell pet-walking products and related accessories. We make reasonable efforts to display product features, colors, dimensions, materials, and specifications accurately. Actual color and appearance may vary because of screens, lighting, manufacturing tolerances, and natural material variation. Packaging and minor product details may change without notice when functionality is not materially reduced.

Product descriptions, photographs, videos, demonstrations, and customer testimonials are informational. They do not guarantee that a product is appropriate for every dog, handler, environment, behavior profile, or activity.

3. Orders, Pricing, and Payment

Prices, promotions, product availability, shipping options, and taxes may change without notice. We may limit quantities, refuse or cancel an order, or restrict sales when we reasonably suspect fraud, unauthorized resale, pricing error, inventory error, misuse, or a violation of these Terms.

If we cancel an order after payment has been authorized or captured, we will issue an appropriate reversal or refund. You represent that the payment information you provide is accurate and that you are authorized to use the selected payment method.

4. Shipping, Returns, and Warranty

Our Shipping Policy, Returns & Refunds Policy, and Limited Warranty are incorporated into these Terms. Eligibility may depend on proof of purchase, purchase channel, timing, product condition, location, and compliance with the applicable process.

5. Safe and Appropriate Product Use

You are responsible for selecting, fitting, inspecting, maintaining, and using the product appropriately for your dog, your own abilities, the environment, and the intended activity. Read and follow all instructions and warnings before use and retain them for future reference.

  • Inspect the entire leash, rope, handle, brake/button, attachment hardware, sleeves, stitching, and connection points before every use.

  • Stop using the product immediately if any part is damaged, loose, frayed, chewed, cracked, deformed, corroded, jammed, or functioning irregularly.

  • Use only for attended dog walking and only within the product’s validated weight and use limitations.

  • Do not use as a tie-out, unattended tether, vehicle restraint, climbing or lifting device, child-safety device, or for bicycling, skating, motorized activities, or other high-speed towing.

  • Maintain control and use added caution near traffic, crowds, elevators, doors, stairs, wildlife, other animals, children, and entanglement hazards.

No leash can prevent every escape, fall, bite, collision, entanglement, equipment failure, or injury. Animal behavior and environmental conditions can be unpredictable. You remain responsible for supervising and controlling your dog and complying with applicable leash laws.

6. No Veterinary, Training, or Safety Guarantee

The Services and product materials provide general information only and are not veterinary, behavioral, training, medical, or legal advice. Consult an appropriate veterinarian, certified trainer, behavior professional, or other qualified professional when you have questions about your dog’s health, behavior, strength, reactivity, or suitability for a product or activity.

JOONI does not guarantee particular behavioral, safety, health, comfort, or walking outcomes. References to comfort, control, reduced hand strain, or similar benefits describe intended product characteristics and may vary by user and circumstances.

7. Accounts and Communications

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of account credentials and for activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and promptly update it. Transactional communications may be sent regarding orders, security, returns, warranty claims, and service updates. Marketing communications are governed by your choices and applicable law.

8. Reviews and User Content

If you submit a review, photograph, video, comment, testimonial, idea, or other content (“User Content”), you represent that you own or control the necessary rights and that the content is truthful, lawful, and does not violate another person’s rights.

You grant JOONI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, reproduce, display, adapt, distribute, and use User Content in connection with operating and marketing the Services, subject to applicable privacy and advertising laws. We may remove User Content but are not obligated to monitor it.

9. Intellectual Property

The Services and their content—including the JOONI name and logos, product designs, trade dress, graphics, photographs, videos, copy, software, and other materials—are owned by or licensed to JOONI and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, scrape, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit them.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any patent, trademark, copyright, trade-secret, design, or other proprietary right.

10. Prohibited Conduct

  • Using the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, harmful, or deceptive purposes.

  • Interfering with security, functionality, checkout, accounts, or other users.

  • Introducing malware, automated extraction, scraping, or unauthorized access.

  • Reselling products as an authorized dealer without written approval.

  • Misrepresenting product performance, affiliation, warranty status, or the origin of goods.

11. Third-Party Services

The Services may rely on or link to third-party platforms, payment processors, carriers, review providers, advertising services, social networks, or other services. Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy practices, and JOONI is not responsible for their independent acts or omissions.

12. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES AND CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY, JOONI DISCLAIMS IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, TO THE EXTENT SUCH DISCLAIMERS ARE PERMITTED.

Some jurisdictions do not permit certain warranty disclaimers, so portions of this section may not apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights.

13. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOONI AND ITS OWNERS, AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES; LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS; OR DAMAGES ARISING FROM ANIMAL BEHAVIOR, MISUSE, FAILURE TO INSPECT OR MAINTAIN THE PRODUCT, USE OUTSIDE INSTRUCTIONS, OR UNAUTHORIZED MODIFICATION.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, JOONI’S AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING FROM A PRODUCT OR TRANSACTION WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID FOR THE PRODUCT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. This limitation does not apply where prohibited, including to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless JOONI and its related parties from third-party claims arising from your unlawful conduct, material breach of these Terms, unauthorized commercial use, or misuse or modification of a product. This provision does not require indemnification for JOONI’s own negligence or misconduct where such indemnification is prohibited.

15. Dispute Resolution; Governing Law

These Terms and disputes relating to the Services or products will be governed by the laws of [STATE OF FORMATION / SELECTED STATE], without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where federal law or non-waivable consumer law applies.

Exclusive venue will be in the state or federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE], unless the parties agree otherwise or applicable law requires another forum.

[COUNSEL DECISION: Insert a carefully drafted arbitration agreement and class-action waiver only if the new JOONI entity elects to use one. Do not copy another company’s clause without confirming notice, assent, opt-out mechanics, consumer-arbitration rules, fee allocation, small-claims rights, and state-law enforceability.]

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Services for material violations, fraud, security risk, or unlawful conduct. Provisions that by their nature should survive will survive termination.

17. Changes

We may update these Terms by posting the revised version with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated when required by law.

18. Severability; No Waiver; Assignment

If a provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remainder will remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; JOONI may assign them in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of business assets.
